Stripes and Brights

IN FOCUS

STRIPES AND BRIGHTS

/

Dynamic stripes and riotous colour, this season’s take on sultry South American style packs a powerful punch. Rousie Assoulin, Marco de Vincenzo and Peter Pilotto are the key brands owning the look. This is our edit of their most covetable pieces.

ROSIE ASSOULIN

Fun is the main takeaway from Rosie Assoulin’s Resort-2017 collection. For the New York-based label more is more – playful candy stripes are enhanced with bountiful silhouettes and striking hues are matched by equally rich textures.

Marco De Vincenzo

Marco de Vincenzo has long championed an unapologetically vibrant aesthetic. Look to its Resort-2017 collection for a more minimal interpretation of its signature rainbow stripes and an increased focus on block-colour and shimmering fabrics.

PETER PILOTTO

Inspired by trips to Peru, Ecuador, Panama and Cuba, Peter Pilotto’s Resort-2017 collection exudes the overwhelming drama of the countries’ national dress. Tops are ruched and embroidered to folkloric effect and skirts are cut from swathes of colourfully striped cloth.
