“I’m working on a pair of flats, but for me, it’s either super-high or super-low. There’s no point messing with anything in between”.
A former student of Central Saint Martins, British designer Nicholas Kirkwood’s first ever collection in 2005 instantly grabbed the attention of the biggest names in London Fashion: Grace Jones, Daphne Guinness, and the late Isabella Blow.
Nicholas’ shoes are free of excessive decorative elements, the focus always being on innovation of linear forms. Unusual skins and techniques such as shaved stingray, laser-cut mirror leather, and suede alligator are signature textures. Seasonal trends appear unintentionally and are always a step-ahead of the fashion-curve.
