FREE CITY

Nina Garduno started FREECITY in 2001 after a visit to Christiania, a freewheeling hippy enclave in Copenhagen. This trip to what she describes as a “free city” within a city—a place that felt lawless and free.

Without having to live there, Garduno wanted to carry the spririt of such a place, which is when she made her first T-shirt. More thna decade on, the brand continues to grow, both in concept and in design. But all the pieces continue to have that stamp of distinct logo and print.
